- Toyota Spain and its Official Network of Dealers join this solidarity initiative with the aim of raising 15,000 euros to donate to the victims of Morocco and Libya.
- Of the total amount, 7,500 euros will go to the mission in Libya and the other 7,500 to Morocco.
- The donation will be made online, through two Spanish Red Cross links.
Toyota Spain, together with all the companies in the group—Toyota Insurance, Toyota Financial Services, Kinto Spain—joins in collaborating with a donation of €15,000 to the Spanish Red Cross, which has opened a mission to provide support and assistance to the victims, supporting search and rescue operations, providing first aid, performing emergency medical evacuations and transporting injured people to hospitals.
One Toyota, an entity that brings together all the group’s companies, will divide the amount of 15,000 euros in half, allocating 7,500 euros to those affected by the earthquake in Morocco and another 7,500 euros to the victims of the floods in Libya.
Since an earthquake of magnitude 6.9 on the Richter scale shook the country on September 8, the situation has been complicated. Much of the affected areas are mountainous and remote, which makes them difficult to access and also at risk of landslides.
On the other hand, Storm Daniel last Saturday, September 9, caused two swamps to burst in Derna, one of the most populated cities in Libya, with 120,000 inhabitants. These floods have already left more than 11,200 dead, some 10,000 missing and 30,000 evacuated.
With this action, One Toyota confirms its commitment to social causes and the humanitarian aid that these two countries so need after the catastrophes they have suffered.
