After a very tough rally for both Jan Solans and Rodrigo Sanjuán, as well as for the Teo Martín Motorsport team, our sights are set on the 46th Rallye Villa de Llanes.
The second Asturian event will be held this weekend in the idyllic surroundings of Llanes, one of the most beautiful areas of the peninsula. It is a rally highly anticipated by everyone, which always stands out for the difficulty of its sections and the adverse weather, which will once again be the protagonist on Friday’s day.
Jan and Rodrigo have been preparing thoroughly these days, after the bitter last rally, and as always, the Teo Martín Motorsport team has been working tirelessly to get the Hyundai i20 N Rally2 ready for this test again.
The 46 Rallye Villa de Llanes will be made up of two stages, starting on Friday with the celebration of the shakedown and the qualification stage, the starting ceremony and the first five special stages. The rally will continue throughout the day on Saturday, with another six special stages and the final awards ceremony.
Jan Solans (RIDER): “This week we return to Asturias, but with a renewed mentality and on a new surface (asphalt). After my mistake in the last rally, the main objective is going to be to finish. My intention is to go out and run “without pressure” and try to go at a pace that allows me to go fast, but without making mistakes. I will be 100% focused to try to make everything go well and be able to give joy to the entire Teo Martín Motorsport team.
Rodrigo Sanjuán (CO-PILOT): “Princess was very hard for us. We have worked hard this last week and we have prepared ourselves thoroughly so as not to make mistakes again. The team deserves a good result in Llanes and we are very focused on that. “We trust that we can do a good job and get rid of this discomfort of the last few days.”
Teo Martín (TEAM LEAD): “I am sure that Jan and Rodrigo have worked as hard as possible after the last rally and that they are ready to face Villa de Llanes. I fully trust them. I am also very proud of our team, which “He always proves to be up to the task, and to have everything ready in such a short time to do the rally we deserve. We are all going to Llanes with a lot of motivation.”
